VersaSuite invited to participate in the Electronic Medical Records Panel

VersaSuite was invited to participate in the Electronic Medical Records "shoot out" held on 19th March 2006 at the ASCRS/ASOA Symposium and Congress in San Francisco, CA. Other participants included: Cerner Corp, Chartlogic, Inc, Compulink, Management Plus, Medflow, Inc, MdTeknik, NextGen and Penn Medical Information System, Inc. Twenty-four hours before the panel meeting, companies were provided with information on 5 patients. On the day, just before each company's presentation, a specific patient scenario was given and the companies were requested to use their respective electronic medical records to create the patient visit as described. This provided participants with the opportunity to demonstrate the flexibility, practicality and sophistication of their products in a head-to-head environment.
Although Cerner do not participate on the day, the meeting was extremely well received by the panel and audience. Mr. Chad Rostrum, Consultant Ophthalmologist at St. George's Hospital, London said: "The view of the VersaSuite software from the audience was very impressive. This system looks as though it has been designed with the clinician in mind, and seems to fulfil the function of allowing rapid collection of clinical data that can cover the full range of data input formats, as well as having an excellent administrative core."
